Anthony A. Gaspari, M.D is Professor of Dermatology at Sidney Kimmel Medical College at Thomas Jefferson University in Philadelphia and past Chairman of Dermatology at the University of Maryland School of Medicine and Chief of Dermatology at the University of Maryland Medical Center in Baltimore, Maryland.
Doctor Gaspari received his undergraduate degree from Temple University in Philadelphia, PA, and his medical degree from Jefferson Medical College of Thomas Jefferson University, also in Philadelphia. He completed an internship at Geisinger Medical Center in Danville, PA, a dermatology residency at Emory University School of Medicine in Atlanta, GA, and a fellowship in immunodermatology at the National Cancer Institute at Bethesda, MD.
Doctor Gaspari’s clinical research interests include the treatment of psoriasis, and the cellular and molecular mechanisms that control immune-mediated inflammation of the skin.
He is a member of the American Academy of Dermatology, the American Association of Immunologists, and the American Contact Dermatitis Society. He is a reviewer for a number of journals, including the Journal of the American Academy of Dermatology, the Journal of Investigative Dermatology and the Journal of Immunology. He has authored or co-authored numerous book reviews, journal contributions, book chapters, and abstracts and is a frequent national lecturer on a variety of dermatologic topics.
