Dr. Mark Bernhardt received his B.A. and M.D. degrees from Yale University in New Haven. He then trained in Internal Medicine at the University of Alabama in Birmingham, followed by a residency in dermatology at the Harvard-MGH Combined Program in Boston. He has been in solo private practice in Fort Lauderdale, FL since 1990.
Dr. Bernhardt has a special interest in the history of dermatology, having edited the Archives a Century Ago section in the Archives of Dermatology / JAMA Dermatology from 1990 through 2014. On his days off, Dr. Bernhardt amuses himself by creating simple, whimsical folk art, which can be viewed at www.marks-ark.com.
