Doctor Hsu graduated from Baylor College of Medicine, Houston, TX, in 1989, following which she interned at the Graduate Hospital of the University of Pennsylvania. She took her dermatology training at Thomas Jefferson University Hospital in Philadelphia, PA and then joined the faculty at Jefferson as Assistant Professor of Dermatology and Cutaneous Biology. She returned to Houston in 1997 and Baylor University College of Medicine, where she a became Professor and Chief of Dermatology at Ben Taub General Hospital. In 2017, she accepted the position of Professor and Chairman of Dermatology at the Lewis Katz School of Medicine, Temple University, Philadelphia.
She is recipient for 2007 of the Best Minds of Baylor College Medicine Award and in 2016, Dr. Hsu received the Master Clinician Lifetime Achievement Award at Baylor. She has served as president of the Houston Dermatological Society and a member of the Editorial Board for the Journal of the American Academy of Dermatology. Her additional positions include the Advisory Board for Dermatology Worldand of the Medical Board of the National Psoriasis Foundation where she has achieved emeritus status.
