Dr. Lawrence Chukwudi Nwabudike is Senior Dermatologist at the Nicolae
Paulescu National Institute of Diabetes, Bucharest, Romania. He graduated
with an MBBS from the University of Lagos, Nigeria, qualified as a
dermatologist in Romania, and became a Senior Dermatologist by examination
through the Romanian Ministry of Health. He also holds qualifications in
homeopathy and acupuncture. He has a Doctorate in Dermatology from the Carol
Davila University of Medicine and Pharmacy, Bucharest, and was elected by
examination to the Royal College of Physicians of London.
Dr. Nwabudike has published several book chapters and is the author of many
journal contributions. He is a member of the European Academy of
Dermatology and Venereology, where he serves as Co-Chair of the History Task
Force; American Academy of Dermatology, where he serves on its ERG on
Integrative Dermatology; the European Society for the History of Dermatology
and Venereology for which he is president; the International Society of
Dermatology; and the Romanian Society of Dermatology. He is passionate about
integrative medicine in dermatology with a particular focus on the possible
applications of homeopathy. Dr. Nwabudike also writes regularly for the
Romanian national press to inform the public about the role of complementary
medicine.
