Dr. Vineet Mishra received his undergraduate degree, BS Summa Cum Laude, and MD from Vanderbilt University, Nashville, TN. Following an internship at Emory University in Atlanta, GA, he took his dermatology training at the University of Alabama – Birmingham and his procedural dermatology fellowship at Scripps Clinic in San Diego, CA under Dr. Hugh Greenway. From 2013 until 2018, he was Associate Professor of Dermatology and Director of Mohs and Procedural Dermatology at the University of Texas Health Science Center – San Antonio. He currently is a Mohs surgeon, cosmetic dermatologist, and venous disease specialist at the Scripps Clinic and serves as Adjunct Associate Professor of Dermatology at the University of California – San Diego.
His interest and expertise include Mohs surgery, laser medicine, cosmetic dermatology, and venous disease. He is an active member of the American College of Mohs Surgery, American Society for Dermatologic Surgery, American Society for Laser Medicine and Surgery, American College of Phlebology, and American Academy of Dermatology. In addition, Dr. Mishra serves on the board of directors of the American College of Phlebology Foundation, Dermatology Education Foundation, and American Association of Physicians of Indian Origin – Young Physician Section.
Dr. Mishra has published numerous contributions in dermatology and has co-authored several book chapters. He also is involved in public policy at the state and federal level, serving in the House of Delegates of the California Medical Association and American Medical Association.
